Central Bermuda is home to the capital city of Hamilton; a picturesque harbor city with an abundance of shops, museums, galleries and gardens. Everything is within walking distance in Hamilton, which makes it quite easy to explore on foot. One of my favorite parts of visiting this area of Bermuda is the vibrant colored seaside storefronts. They're everywhere! Especially on Front Street, which is an absolute must-see for first-time visitors. You'll find restaurants filled to the brim with people sipping on Bermuda's signature Rum Swizzle and shopping galore. There are so many spots to pop into, from local shops like The Irish Linen Shop, A.S. Cooper & Sons, The Bermuda Bookstore, The Island Shop and Spinnakers to well-known staples like Vineyard Vines. As for food? The options are endless. Some of my favorites include: 1609 Restaurant (on the Hamilton Princess property), Harry's, The Pickled Onion, Barracuda Grill, and Portofino Restaurant.
